Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Value Stream Support Manager who will direct the flow of our supply chain, ensure top quality and food safety, and lead a dedicated team on the Site Leadership Team.

You will drive operational excellence, partner with regional procurement, manage production scheduling, optimize inventory, and collaborate across functions to deliver exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years in procurement/materials management in production or distribution.
• 2+ years in people leadership.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with SAP and troubleshooting system issues.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental practices.
• Proven ability to build strong business relationships and drive urgency.
• Excellent communication with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development to your team, and be a visible leader across the site as a role-model for Five Principles.
• Lead strategic planning and organizational development with short- and long-term focus.
• Manage daily logistics for material storage, supply, and shipment to production lines.
• Manage plant scheduler functions to optimize customer service.
• Analyze SAP demand data into actionable production plans and ensure on-time execution.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory of raw and packaging materials.
• Recommend improvements to methods, equipment, systems and organization to meet objectives.
• Partner with Regional/Global Procurement for contracts, supplier performance and relationships.
• Manage quality release processes for raw ingredients, packaging materials, site sanitation and GMP programs.
