Mars is seeking a Quality and Food Safety (QFS) leader to partner with the Value Stream, driving the Quality Management Process and ensuring products meet external regulations and internal standards.

The role requires leading and influencing teams, implementing HACCP/OPRP programs, and coordinating audits and CAPAs. Travel up to 10% may be required in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related field OR a High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of manufacturing/quality experience.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in leading/influencing others.
• Familiar with HACCP, GLP, and prerequisite controls, as well as ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and GFSI schemes (SQF, BRC, FSSC22000, ISO9000).
• Knowledge of GMP, food allergens, pest control, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsabilités

• Implement QMP standards into the value stream and drive full compliance.
• Manage the food safety program for the value stream with external standards (FSC 22000, GFSI, FSMA).
• Lead QFS agenda, identify KPI priorities, and allocate resources within the Value Stream.
• Serve as HACCP Lead and drive GMP/GHP and CCP/OPRP programs.
• Act as PCQI for the Value Stream and coordinate QMP activities (CAPAs, audits, CI).
• Coordinate QMP documentation and audits, support trials and new equipment installations.
• Interface with stakeholders to manage line trial risk and testing.
• Ensure current visual quality materials and perform Level 2 QFS troubleshooting with escalation to Technical Services as needed.
• Lead QFS incident management and assist in root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Communicate initiatives across R&D and the Value Stream; support Mars University training programs.
