Job summary

Mars seeks a primary Quality and Food Safety (Q&FS) partner for the Value Stream, leading technical directions to meet global standards and external regulations. You will drive QMP implementation, oversee the food safety program, and coordinate audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to R&D quality leadership, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the Value Stream.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related field or 5+ years manufacturing/quality experience with equivalent credentials.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in leading/influencing others.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and GFSI standards such as SQF, BRC, FSSC22000 or ISO9000.
• Familiarity with GMP, food allergens, sanitation and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement QMP standards into the value stream and drive full compliance.
• Manage the food safety program and ensure compliance with external standards (e.g., FSC 22000, GFSI, FSMA).
• Lead the quality agenda, set priorities for Q&FS KPIs, and monitor progress.
• Serve as HACCP Lead for the value stream and coordinate CCP/OPRP programs.
• Provide GMP/GHP implementation leadership and act as PCQI for the Value Stream.
• Coordinate QMP activities (CAPAs, audits, continuous improvement, documentation).
• Interface with stakeholders on Q&FS activities within the value stream.
• Provide technical input on new equipment and line trials; support audits and trainings.
