Job summary

Brunswick County Public Utility is seeking a Utility Asset Manager to join the Design and Construction Team. You will lead the asset management program for water and wastewater assets, manage the CMMS, and guide GIS-enabled insights to support long-term infrastructure strategy.

The role requires strong analytical skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to develop policy and strategies that reduce risk while optimizing capital investments for reliable service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, asset management, finance, or related field.
• Five years of progressive technical experience, plus two years of supervisory/management experience.
• Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver License.
• Experience with database management, GIS, and CMMS.
• Strong analytical, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build and oversee an effective condition-based assessment program.
• Prepare control strategies to reduce risk and improve asset utilization.
• Determine predictive strategies and perform root cause analysis to reduce downtime.
• Build an asset risk mitigation program to improve asset reliability while controlling costs.
• Supervise asset management and GIS staff.
