Job summary

Louisiana State University of Alexandria seeks an Executive Director of Accounting to oversee all accounting services and maintain strong financial controls. You will supervise Accounting, Student Accounting, and Bursar staff, ensuring accuracy in general ledger, payroll allocations, and month-end processes.

You will collaborate with LSU Baton Rouge on budget reporting and funding sources, and ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in any field with minimum 3 years in higher education finance leadership.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience with Intuit QuickBooks preferred.
• Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from university stakeholders and present information to top management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll allocations, and month-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and applicable regulations.
• Provide daily oversight to Accounting, Student Accounting, and Bursar staff.
• Plan and manage university finances in collaboration with LSU Baton Rouge.
• Prepare and review financial reports for Board of Regents and LSU Baton Rouge.
