Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Principal Unified Communications Engineer in the Warrenton, VA area to design and maintain scalable Cisco UC solutions. The role requires a Top-Secret clearance with SCI, 12+ years in telecoms, CCNA and IAT Level II/III certifications, and hands-on experience with UC products and security standards.

You will install, monitor, and optimize VoIP, video, and collaboration platforms, while ensuring integration with AD, servers, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or ability to acquire SCI.
• 12+ years' telecoms experience with Cisco UC appliances and converged networks.
• CCNA certification and 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certs required.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and FIPS publications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable UC solutions with security focus.
• Install and configure VoIP, video, and IM platforms for integration.
• Monitor UC infra performance; perform maintenance and patches.
• Integrate UC with AD and cloud services; ensure interoperability.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end voice/video issues on IP/ISDN networks.
• Provide end-user support and training on UC systems.
• Create detailed documentation and vendor management.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure business continuity.
