Job summary

Peraton in Arlington, VA seeks an experienced Unified Communications Engineer to join the Network and Unified Communications Architecture team. You will help ensure the health, security, and performance of enterprise voice and collaboration systems across a complex network.

Responsibilities include design and deployment support, monitoring, incident resolution with vendors, and maintaining DoD IA compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 12 years of related experience or equivalent education/training.
• Active CCNP-Collaboration certification.
• Self-driven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as in cooperation with others.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
• Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational health, availability, and security of enterprise voice and collaboration systems within a complex network architecture.
• Provide engineering support for design, implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and analysis of firewalls, IDS, VPNs, unified communications platforms, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain system specifications, architecture designs, integration plans, test plans, and all required technical documentation.
• Maintain compliance with DoD IA requirements and ensure service performance indicators are met or exceeded.
• Collaborate with agency Network Engineers and Network Operations personnel to support enterprise infrastructure initiatives and modernization.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely resolution of escalated technical issues.
• Escalate critical incidents to vendor engineering teams and monitor resolution through completion; work with Tier III teams to resolve issues.
