Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Executive Underwriting Priorities to support Caremark Underwriting leadership with analytical research, validation, and synthesis of information for timely decision making.

The role emphasizes Excel-driven side analyses, SQL data handling, and close collaboration with data teams, finance partners, and subject matter experts in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

2 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, finance, underwriting, actuarial, forecasting, or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and structured modeling (e.g., INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, error checking, reconciliation techniques).
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Research & issue resolution support for leadership readouts.
Model output investigation and variance analysis across pricing and forecasting tools/models.
Cross-functional coordination with stakeholders across underwriting, data teams, and finance.
Build and maintain side analyses in Excel to validate assumptions and quantify impacts.
Data handling and querying using relational data concepts and SQL.
Documentation and knowledge management to improve repeatability.
Prepare meeting briefs and capture actions and decisions.
Identify opportunities to streamline recurring requests and outputs.
