Job summary

Hunt Consolidated is seeking an experienced Turnaround Planner/Supervisor to lead planning activities for refinery stoppages in the Tuscaloosa region. The role involves coordinating scope development, organizing planning meetings, and driving on-site scheduling and execution with both contractor and in-house teams.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in turnarounds within refining or related sectors, strong leadership, and expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical school certification preferred.
• Five or more years in planning, scheduling and executing turnarounds, shutdowns, and outages in refining/chemical/pulp-paper industries or equivalent.
• Field experience in turnaround execution or technical support is preferred.
• Experience with in-house maintenance and contractor workforces.
• Knowledge of process safety, construction and maintenance standards and practices.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Function as the focal point of all planning activities.
• Coordinate gathering and development of turnaround scope.
• Review and justify turnaround scope.
• Organize and chair planning meetings.
• Track and manage scope growth.
• Perform field walk-downs of work orders to assess site conditions.
• Develop detailed work plans and gather all relevant documents for turnaround work packages.
• Seek input from crafts, operations, engineering, and supervision on plans.
• Identify resources and determine on-site dates.
• Coordinate shutdown and startup schedules.
