Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3 years in transportation routing/dispatching with 2 years in lead role.
• Knowledge of school transportation procedures, operations, and routing strategies.
• Experience with computerized routing systems and data collection for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise routing technicians in planning and developing safe, dependable school bus routes.
• Develop complex routing for new school year and special programs within timelines.
• Audit routes for regulatory compliance and safety practices.
• Participate in transportation planning with Fairfax County for shuttle and summer programs.
• Collaborate with IT and customer service to prepare and preserve historical data and reports.
• Review maps for accuracy and assist with bell schedules when needed.
• Lead the routing team in crisis route development and data collection for leadership.
