Job summary
Amrize in Chicago seeks a Senior Logistics Procurement Specialist to lead transportation sourcing across the US Cement network, developing strategic carrier partnerships and negotiating cost-saving contracts. The role requires strong experience in freight procurement and carrier management, including RFQs.
You will work with Operations, Dispatch, Logistics, and leadership to optimize capacity, improve service, and ensure safe, compliant procurement practices.
Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of experience in transportation procurement or related supply chain functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft skills; working knowledge in SAP.
- Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Responsibilities
- Expand and onboard strategic carrier partners to improve capacity and competition.
- Lead carrier RFQs, negotiate rates, and manage contracts.
- Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch and sales to align transportation solutions.
- Improve carrier performance and on-time delivery through SRM and metrics.
- Analyze freight spend, market trends and network opportunities for cost savings.
- Support enterprise transportation procurement initiatives with a focus on safety.
