Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 1 year of experience as a Transportation Planner, Urban Planner, or related occupation.
• Experience in environmental and socioeconomic analysis.
• GIS analysis and mapping.
• Data analysis with MS Excel, SQL, SPSS, R, and Python.
• Graphic design with Adobe Creative Suites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis to guide transportation decision-making and assess environmental impacts.
• Interpret and evaluate findings to ensure compliance with regulations and client expectations.
• Analyze planning, land use, and transportation data to support technical analyses and plans.
• Gather technical data to prepare reports and maps related to census data, land use, and environmental factors.
• Support GIS mapping efforts and analyze travel behavior and transportation demand concepts.
• Create visual representations using a range of graphical tools.
• Facilitate stakeholder and public engagement initiatives for agency projects.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior staff or project managers.
• Provide training to junior staff and assist in quality control and recruitment efforts.
• Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.
