Job summary

Avenue Consultants is seeking a Transportation Planner in Phoenix to lead diverse planning projects including complete streets, transit, and traffic analysis. You will prepare technical reports, engage stakeholders, and develop GIS-based presentation materials for public meetings and websites.

The role requires strong GIS skills, report writing ability, and experience with public outreach. AICP and advanced degrees are valued, with opportunities to grow into project planner/engineer roles.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree is required.
5+ years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning is required.
AICP certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead projects as a Transportation Planner on various planning projects.
Create technical reports, presentations, and materials for stakeholders and clients.
Develop informative concepts and presentation materials for public meetings and project websites/pages.
