Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s in communications or related field preferred.
• Experience in engineering/infrastructure communications preferred.
• Experience on light rail or transit projects during construction preferred.
• Strong ability to translate technical language into clear messaging.
• Experience managing multiple projects with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create communications plans and campaigns for transportation and engineering projects.
• Engage stakeholders and communities in-person or virtually.
• Draft content for newsletters, fact sheets, FAQs, and exhibits.
• Translate technical inputs into clear public and leadership content.
• Attend meetings to extract key points and convert into reports.
• Manage WordPress website updates and light CMS tasks.
• Develop PowerPoint decks and lead brand cleanup for large documents.
• Coordinate with staff to prepare graphics and presentations.
• Plan and facilitate public meetings and workshops and outreach events.
• Develop themes and collateral for diverse audiences.
• Handle rapid-response communications and fact-checking.
• Assist client with media relations as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain SharePoint discipline.
