Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Senior Director of Transportation Management Operations in New Jersey to lead the division's strategy and day-to-day execution. You will drive service quality, cost efficiency and growth across three operating entities and mentor a large team of operators.

You will develop new operational plans, train staff to become TMS super users, and align with sales and other verticals to deliver best-in-class transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years’ experience in transportation operations with a proven track record of success.
• Proficient computer skills especially with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as the essential TMS systems for NFI Brokerage.
• Independent, must be able to work with little direction or structure and able to work effectively with all verticals within NFI and the sales team.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transportation management operations including customer and carrier relations.
• Lead the transportation management strategy among NFI, NDC and NFIL, increasing synergy with other NFI entities.
• Develop and implement new strategies, services and tactical business plans for customer contracts from an operations perspective.
• Manage new and existing customer startups with operations concept development.
• Ensure SLAs and performance metrics are met or exceeded.
