Job summary

The City of St. Peters is seeking an experienced municipal leader to direct and coordinate the Transportation and Facilities Services Group, providing strategic and administrative leadership over streets, facilities, and related infrastructure.

The role involves long-range planning, budget oversight, capital improvement program development, contract administration, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations for the community.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field and five years of municipal, engineering, public works, facilities, or infrastructure management experience.
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial administration.
• Knowledge of contract preparation, procurement, and administration.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and asset management principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership and oversight for the Transportation and Facilities Services Group and its work units.
• Develop and manage the Group's operating budget and ensure contracts comply with city policies and laws.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and capital improvements for transportation assets and city buildings.
• Direct long-range maintenance, replacement, and asset management strategies.
• Negotiate contracts, procure goods and services, and ensure regulatory compliance.
