Job summary

Avery Dennison in Mentor, OH is seeking a Senior Transportation Cost Analyst to lead transportation cost controls, automate FAP processes, and drive strategic freight savings. The role combines analytical rigor with hands-on vendor and carrier management in a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

You will develop KPIs, forecast weekly freight spend, review invoices against contracts, and build reporting frameworks for leadership across the Materials Group while guiding cost-out

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in transportation operations, logistics financial analysis, or freight contract administration.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, TMS (Oracle OTM, JDA), and BI reporting proficiency.
• Strong contract expertise to eliminate spend leakage and drive savings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational relationship between FAP vendor and carrier base.
• Develop and track KPIs to drive cost efficiency and automate FAP workflows.
• Analyze invoices against contracts to enforce terms and eliminate discrepancies.
• Develop weekly freight financial forecasts and site-level cost targets.
