Job summary

You will collaborate across Commercial Sales, Marketing, IT, and Finance, building robust models, performing variance analysis, and driving actionable insights for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a results-oriented Financial Analyst, Graphics Solutions to join our North America Graphics Solutions Division in Mentor, OH. In this role, you will play a critical function within our North American FP&A and Commercial Finance Team. As a Financial Analyst, Graphics Solutions, you will strive for continuous improvements in the division’s financial analysis tools, data, and reporting capabilities, while ensuring all business-performance reporting and analytics are timely and accurate. You will work collaboratively across a variety of functional areas by taking the lead in analyzing, understanding, and providing financial insight that allows for faster and better decision-making across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Remote / Hybrid work flexibility available (based in Mentor, OH).

Comprehensive Commercial Finance & Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as a key business partner to the Sales and Marketing organizations, providing proactive analytical guidance and support for our commercial organization. This will be in tandem with developing a deep understanding of customers, sales and marketing strategies, and profitability across our portfolio.

Forecasting, Planning & AOP: Help support weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting processes and month-end closing activities. Take a hands-on role in pulling and structuring large data files for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and analyzing key revenue drivers (Price, Volume, Mix).

Data Analytics & Standardized Reporting: Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial performance reporting. Leverage Business Intelligence tools to fulfill ad-hoc financial requests and empower commercial leadership with actionable margin insights.

Driving Business Analytics: Leveraging our Business Intelligence tools and platforms, empower the team with tools and models to understand result drivers to make informed business decisions that lead to profitable growth. Quick interpretation of data and financial modeling will be required to further answer the current needs of the business and to continue leading proactive insights.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Continuity: Drive synergy and optimization of commercial finance work. Additionally, collaborate on finance matters with cross-functional teams (Commercial Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance) and cross-train with senior team members to develop sustainable processes and maintain business continuity.

Controllership and Compliance: Support activities related to finance compliance and policies (SOX, Trade Compliance, External & Internal Audit, etc.), identify compliance gaps, and provide meaningful analysis to explain variances and meet all required audit deadlines. Maintain a high-level of controllership in regards to financial accuracy and transparency.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required, along with 3+ years of financial and/or accounting experience (manufacturing or commercial environment experience preferred).

Financial Modeling: Strong ability to build robust, dynamic financial models that support clear storytelling and rapid comprehension for business stakeholders.

Technical & Software Acumen: Expert-level, hands-on capabilities in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, large dataset management). Experience with Oracle EBS/R12, Salesforce, Pricefx, and Oracle Business Intelligence (OAC) preferred

Communication & Collaboration: Strong collaborative bias and superior communication skills to articulate financial results, variance drivers, and strategic opportunities.

Innovation & Automation: Initiative to drive automation, rapidly learn and adopt AI tools, and continuously challenge processes for optimization and actionable insights.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $66,375 to $99,120/year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
