Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Procurement Manager - Chemicals for its North America Taylor Adhesive business. The role focuses on setting the procurement strategy, ensuring competitiveness, and driving value across regional spend from its Mentor, Ohio base in a hybrid schedule.

You will lead strategic sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and collaborate with Marketing and R&D to forecast needs and foster sustainability. Domestic travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years purchasing or related experience with leadership.
• Experience leading complex RFx and negotiations.
• Vendor selection and negotiation skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; travel <10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Nova initiatives and strategic procurement plans within assigned business categories.
• Leverage collective commodity spend across divisions to maximize negotiation power, supply security, and total cost of ownership.
• Manage supplier relationships and execute quarterly business reviews to drive holistic performance and vendor accountability.
• Develop and implement long-term strategic sourcing strategies geared toward developing competitive advantage and reducing supply base risk.
• Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, and cross-functional teams to identify future sourcing needs, drive sustainability, and introduce innovative suppliers.
