Qualifications

• 5–7 years of transportation, logistics, carrier management, transportation procurement, or supply chain experience.
• BS/BA degree in business, supply chain, or logistics management is preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation pricing methodologies, accessorial structures, and carrier performance metrics.
• Experience managing transportation contracts, carrier negotiations, and freight procurement.
• Leadership experience managing people and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute carrier sourcing, procurement, and network strategies to ensure capacity, pricing, and service excellence.
• Manage strategic carrier relationships, reviews, scorecards, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Lead transportation procurement activities including RFQs, contract negotiations, onboarding, bid events, and lane optimization.
• Monitor KPIs such as tender acceptance, on-time pickup/delivery, claims ratio, invoice accuracy, and service compliance.
• Oversee freight spend, contracted rates, fuel surcharges, detention, and accessorial costs with a focus on cost reduction.
• Own the freight claims process: filings, investigations, recovery, root-cause analysis, reporting, and actions.
• Collaborate with Transportation Operations and Distribution to solve systemic service issues.
• Develop transportation performance reporting, analytics, and executive-level carrier presentations.
