Job summary

McKesson is seeking a mid-level attorney to support a broad range of corporate transactions and strategic matters, including capital markets, M&A, treasury and financing matters, and bankruptcy-related issues.

The role reports to the Managing Principal Counsel, Corporate Governance & Strategic Transactions, and collaborates with internal teams and outside counsel to drive successful outcomes as McKesson transitions to a standalone company. Hybrid work arrangement in Richmond, VA.

Qualifications

• Mid-level corporate transactional experience required, including capital markets, M&A, financing, bankruptcy, or similar complex matters.
• Strong ability to provide practical counsel to business leaders and manage external counsel.
• Active bar admission in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for capital markets, treasury, and financing activities with internal and external partners.
• Lead workstreams for acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
• Support bankruptcy, credit, and distressed counterparty matters affecting transactions and financing.
