Responsibilities

• Planning and ensuring development and implementation of training schedules to meet TSA training and certification goals.
• Developing the airport's annual training plan.
• Coordinating all required TSO training at hub/spoke airports under your jurisdiction.
• Briefing FSD and management on training status.
• Coordinating training of Security Training Instructors (STI) and Assistant Training Instructors (ATI).
• Scheduling STI/ATI and Training Technicians with leadership to meet work requirements.
• Disseminating updates and management decisions impacting training.
• Ensuring training compliance per ATSA, TSA directives and local procedures.
• Evaluating training programs to determine staffing and resource needs.
• Facilitating airport training, supporting FSD staff training, and partnering with special programs trainers (BDO, BAO).
• Supervisory duties including assigning work, setting priorities, and evaluating performance; approving leave; coaching and developing employees; disciplinary actions as needed.
