Job summary

The City of Pittsburgh is seeking a Training and Development Coordinator to drive the growth and development of its workforce within the Human Resources and Civil Service department.

Key duties include developing and facilitating professional development programs, assessing needs with department Directors, designing training materials, coordinating onboarding, and delivering engaging sessions to diverse employees.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time work experience in learning and organizational development.
• Ability to develop and implement organization-wide training programs.
• Familiarity with curriculum trends and training best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and facilitates professional development programs as assigned by HR leadership.
• Works with department Directors and HR Business Partners to identify training needs and align programs with goals.
• Assists in onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
• Maintains records of training and attendance; evaluates program effectiveness.
• Coordinates with vendors and staff to deliver engaging training sessions.
