Job summary

The Town of Lincoln, Maine, is seeking an experienced, dynamic Town Manager to serve as its permanent chief executive. Located in the heart of the Maine Highlands, Lincoln offers a vibrant community with diverse residents and a strong local economy.

Under a Council-Manager form, the Town Manager will oversee daily operations, manage departments including public safety, public works, and recreation, and implement policies from the Town Council.

Responsibilities

• Executive Leadership: Provide strategic direction and daily oversight to all town departments and staff.
• Financial Acumen: Prepare, present, and manage the annual municipal budget while maintaining fiscal stability.
• Community Relations: Act as the primary liaison between the Town Council, staff, residents, and local business owners.
• Policy Implementation: Execute ordinances, regulations, and policies passed by the Town Council.
• Labor & Contract Management: Oversee personnel management, contract negotiations, and collaborations with regional partnerships.
