Salary Range: $125,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually

The Town of Lincoln, Maine, is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking leader to serve as its next permanent Town Manager. Located in the heart of the Maine Highlands region, Lincoln is a vibrant community renowned for its historic 25 lakes and ponds, thriving local business environment, and dedicated residents.

Operating under a Council-Manager form of government, the Town Manager serves as the chief executive and administrative official of the municipality. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, manage municipal departments—including public safety, public works, and recreation and implement policies established by the seven-member Town Council. This role requires a collaborative leader capable of navigating complex financial landscapes, driving economic development, and building strong relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Leadership:Provide strategic direction and daily oversight to all town departments and staff.
• Financial Acumen:Prepare, present, and manage the annual municipal budget while maintaining robust long-term fiscal stability and transparency.
• Community Relations:Act as the primary liaison between the Town Council, municipal staff, residents, and local business owners.
• Policy Implementation:Execute ordinances, regulations, and strategic policies passed by the Town Council with precision and fairness.
• Labor & Contract Management:Oversee municipal personnel management, contract negotiations, and collaborations with regional partnerships.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field is preferred however life experiences will also be considered.
• Experience:A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive municipal leadership or equivalent senior corporate executive experience is required.
• Skills:Exceptional communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated competency in municipal finance, grant writing, and community development.

The Town of Lincoln offers a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement options, and paid time off. Salary range- $125,000 to $140,000
