Job summary

Intelligence Security Laboratories is seeking a Technical Recruiter to build and scale our growing team at ISL in Washington, DC. You’ll translate technical needs into compelling roles, design assessments, and lead the recruitment function across infrastructure engineering, management, and research.

You’ll work in a fast-moving nonprofit environment with a focus on AI safety and security, partnering with leadership to forecast hiring needs and build a robust candidate pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing technical needs and capacity planning.
• Experience growing a technical team or function.
• Ability to design work tests that discriminate candidates across disciplines.
• Experience acting as a hiring manager for technical roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with AI safety and security.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Comfort operating in a small, fast-moving organization.

Responsibilities

• Understand current and future needs of technical and research teams.
• Create job descriptions with scope, seniority, and requirements.
• Headhunt scarce skill sets, including international candidates.
• Design work tests and scoring rubrics; refine them as needed.
• Lead and develop ISL's recruitment function.
• Own applicant tracking system and hiring infrastructure.
• Decide assessment scope and whether it is working.
