Job summary

Cast & Crew is seeking a Technical Program Director to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and data teams. The role reports to the CTO and ensures scope, schedule, and budget stay on track while surfacing risks early.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of programs leadership, PMP certification, and a track record delivering large software and automation projects with clear executive communication and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of specific, relevant experience leading complex, technical, cross-functional programs
• PMP certification, or equivalent demonstrated program management rigor
• Track record managing programs with real budget, staffing, and executive accountability
• Fluency with structured (waterfall/stage-gate) and Agile delivery models
• Demonstrated proficiency using LLM tools (Claude Cowork) to boost productivity
• Ability to set up and manage AI projects with RAID logs and milestone tracking
• Excellent communication skills for engineers, VPs, and the CEO
• Comfort operating in ambiguity across multiple high-visibility initiatives
• Experience standing up or maturing a PMO or program-governance model
• Hands-on proficiency with program tooling (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project)

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain scope, schedule, and budget baselines for each assigned program
• Build and maintain integrated program plans and dependency maps across teams
• Run standard program-management cadence (RAID logs, steering committees, change-control) proportional to complexity
• Track burn against budget and forecast variance with leadership input
• Own communication rhythm with CTO and executive stakeholders
• Keep updates clear, honest, and actionable for engineers, VPs, and CEO
• Act as connective tissue between teams to avoid re-litigations
• Identify risks and blockers early and drive resolution with mitigation plans
• Chase cross-team dependencies across engineering, data, and operations
