Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a Technical Product Manager – FPGA, RF & DSP to own the strategy, roadmap, definition, and lifecycle of RF/DSP/FPGA-based COTS solutions for demanding defense, aerospace, and high-reliability applications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on engineering alongside product management experience, translating RF/DSP theory into real-world hardware and FPGA implementations. This role offers high visibility across engineering, sales, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years in RF, DSP, FPGA, embedded electronics markets.
• Strong understanding of RF-to-digital signal chain, including RF front ends and data converters.
• Experience with rugged embedded computing, defense/aerospace, or high-reliability applications.
• Product management experience with FPGA, DSP, RF, mixed-signal, or embedded computing products.
• Experience with NPI/NPD product launches and lifecycle management.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into product requirements and business cases.
• Strong communication with engineering, sales, customers, suppliers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy for RF/DSP/FPGA solutions within the portfolio.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps based on customer needs and technology trends.
• Translate system requirements into compelling product definitions.
• Develop business cases and present recommendations to executives.
• Lead concept definition and support the NPI process from requirements to launch.
• Evaluate competitive products, architectures, and form factors.
• Manage product-line financial performance including revenue and profitability.
• Collaborate with engineering to define requirements and priorities.
• Engage with sales and customers to identify opportunities and provide technical support.
• Create technical presentations and product collateral.
