Anthropic is building the Forward Deployed Engineering team to help Fortune 100 organizations adopt Claude in transformative, safe ways. As Manager of Technical Deployment for Financial Services, you own engagement health across the vertical and set the bar for delivery quality, building playbooks and evaluation frameworks to scale the practice.

This player-coach role requires credibility in architecture and sales conversations, leadership of the team, and a focus on delivering defensible impact

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading enterprise AI/ML delivery, with at least 3 years directly managing people who owned delivery outcomes.
• Experience building and leading technical delivery teams in enterprise environments, including embedded or forward-deployed teams.
• Delivered AI/ML/LLM-based solutions into production; comfortable speaking with CIOs and other senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and retain a team of Technical Deployment Leads (TDLs) embedded in Financial Services engagements.
• Manage each TDL directly with regular 1:1s, clear expectations, and growth plans.
• Own portfolio health across the vertical; track engagements and intervene when needed.
• Hold executive relationships with customer sponsors; run steering committees.
• Staff engagements by matching TDLs with engineers; adjust as scope changes.
• Lead the most complex engagements when required from plan to production.
• Set bar for SOW quality, MVP scope, and value measurement.
• Codify reusable patterns and playbooks to scale delivery across the team.
• Partner with Sales to qualify engagements and shape SOWs; collaborate on go-to-market materials.
• Run the team's operating rhythm and surface delivery lessons to Product and Research.
• Uphold Anthropic's values and represent the culture in customer environments.
• Travel to customer sites (25–50% expected).
