Controlled Environments Company (CEC) seeks a Technical Buyer to manage new product requests, ad hoc sourcing, and cost-saving initiatives across commodities. You will identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and drive lead-time improvements while supporting sales with technical product queries.

The role requires on-site work in a fast-paced environment and strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills to maximize value for customers and the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, negotiation & selection.
• Strong ability to identify solutions and solve problems.
• Comfortable and capable working on-site in fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and administration skills; ability to absorb technical information.

Responsabilités

• Strategic sourcing of products and suppliers to support open enquiries.
• Support sales staff with technical product queries and identify customer solutions.
• Ensure timely turnaround on customer enquiries for best service.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to reduce sourcing costs and add value for customers.
• Develop market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvements.
• Maintain supplier relationships for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize opportunities and tender outcomes.
• Work as part of a dynamic team to achieve company goals.
