W3Global in Cranston, RI seeks an experienced Technical Buyer to support a manufacturing team specializing in engineered flow measurement equipment and metal components. The candidate will source raw materials, coordinate outside manufacturing services, review specifications, and ensure traceability and quality documentation.

You will work with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to optimize supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and manage procurement in a fast-paced, on-site

Formación

• Experience purchasing in industrial manufacturing, preferably metal products.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Familiarity with MTRs, certifications, and traceability requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Manage procurement of raw materials and industrial goods.
• Source outside manufacturing services (machining, coatings, heat treat).
• Evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, issue POs in ERP/MRP.
• Develop domestic and international supplier relationships where allowed.
• Review requirements, drawings, specs, and quality docs.
• Ensure materials meet specs, certifications, and traceability.
• Monitor PO progress and supplier delivery schedules.
• Maintain supplier performance records and pursue cost savings.
• Improve procurement procedures and reporting.
