Job summary

Fortive seeks a collaborative accounting professional to support technical accounting, consolidation, and reporting activities. You will research complex matters, prepare memoranda, support SEC reporting, and lead enterprise-wide consolidation using OneStream.

You will interact with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and external auditors, with career growth in Fortive’s operating companies.

Qualifications

• CPA with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; 3–4+ years of audit, technical accounting, consolidations and/or financial reporting experience, preferably with public company experience.
• Strong US GAAP background with ability to research, document, and communicate complex technical accounting matters.
• Proficiency with financial reporting systems, Excel, and business analysis tools; ability to leverage AI/automation to improve research and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze technical accounting matters to support Operating Company and Corporate management, including memoranda, position papers, and policy updates.
• Partner with OpCos and corporate teams to provide guidance on new business models and complex transactions.
• Lead the annual impairment analysis for goodwill and intangible assets.
