Job summary

Okta is seeking a Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing to shape the technology procurement agenda across Software, Infrastructure, and AI domains.

You will lead a team to define category strategies, negotiate complex contracts, and drive cost savings while aligning with global business priorities. You will partner with Finance, Legal, Security, and Technology groups to implement governance, performance metrics, and supplier growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic sourcing and procurement with leadership.
• Deep experience in Technology sourcing (Infrastructure, SaaS, Telecom, IaaS, AI).
• Strong communication and collaboration with executive leadership.
• Experience with procurement software tools (Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Ariba).

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of strategic sourcing strategies for Technology categories (Software, Network, SaaS, IaaS, Telephony, AI) to optimize procurement in line with company objectives, including cost reduction, risk mitigation, and driving efficiency.
• Develop 3–5 year rolling category strategies for Technology spend by working closely with Technology stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, and oversee KPIs for Technology sourcing activities and governance models.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing decisions and supplier negotiations.
• Lead complex contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and SLAs; mitigate internal and external risks.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy, and Technology teams to align strategies with needs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Category Manager team.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage critical issues.
• Conduct market analysis and supplier selection to identify potential vendors.
• Drive M&A activity from Strategic Sourcing, including contract novation/consolidation.
• Report progress and savings to senior leadership in an executive format.
• Ensure ethical sourcing and compliance across all activities.
