Job summary

SmartBear in Somerville, MA is seeking a Procurement Manager to own SmartBear’s centralized procurement function, partnering across Finance, Legal, Information Security, and business stakeholders to create a streamlined, compliant purchasing experience.

You will maximize vendor value through strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract management, spend analysis, and usage optimization, leveraging 5–7 years of technology and SaaS procurement experience and strong relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required; CPM/CPSM preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably tech and SaaS.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience in pricing, terms, SLAs, and contract provisions.
• Experience developing and improving procurement policies, controls, and supporting technology.

Responsibilities

• Own SmartBear’s centralized procurement function, partnering with Finance, Legal, InfoSec, and stakeholders to ensure a streamlined, compliant purchasing experience.
• Maximize value of vendor relationships through strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract management, spend analysis, and usage optimization.
