Job summary

Hut 8 in Miami seeks a strategic Tax, Partner to lead tax planning across a capital-intensive data center business. You will advise on cost segregation, depreciation, M&A, managed services, and intercompany structures, partnering with Finance, Legal, Corporate Development.

This role combines deep tax expertise with strong business partnership and leadership of the tax function, reporting to senior leadership at Hut 8.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field.
10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
Strong expertise in strategic tax planning, corporate tax structuring, and compliance.
Experience with cost segregation, depreciation planning, and fixed asset tax strategies.
Experience supporting M&A and post-close integration.

Responsibilities

Lead development and execution of tax strategies to support growth and capital deployment.
Drive cost segregation studies and depreciation planning to maximize cash tax benefits.
Support tax diligence, structuring, modeling, and integration for acquisitions and divestitures.
Advise on tax considerations for managed services, hosting arrangements, and intercompany contracts.
Oversee federal, state, local, and applicable international tax compliance.
