Job summary

BDO USA, LLP seeks a Core Tax Services Senior Manager to advise clients on tax implications, evaluate alternatives to reduce tax burden, and lead complex tax issues. This role serves as the primary client contact for major matters, collaborates with leadership, and participates in marketing and business development.

The position requires extensive tax knowledge, several years of experience, and the ability to train staff and manage client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred.
• Master's in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: ensure client compliance while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
• Research: identify issues to research; frame issues and report analysis clearly.
• ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: apply ASC 740 and review tax provisions.
• Tax Consulting: develop and implement efficient methods to maximize client benefits and reduce taxes.
• Tax Specialization: develop in-depth understanding of tax areas; may train others.
• Strategy Development: develop ideas to improve clients' and Firm's position; present complex strategies to clients.
