Layton Construction is seeking a Talent Sourcer to proactively identify and engage qualified candidates to support hiring needs. This hands-on role emphasizes candidate generation, passive sourcing, talent mapping, and market intelligence, collaborating with Recruiters to deliver strong talent pipelines.

The ideal candidate is a resourceful researcher and relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can develop connections with prospective talent across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• Experience identifying and engaging passive candidates.
• Strong research, internet sourcing, and talent-market mapping skills.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and/or other candidate sourcing platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies for positions and talent segments.
• Identify qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, associations, networks, referrals, databases and other channels.
• Research passive candidates who may not be actively seeking opportunities.
• Build talent pools for current and anticipated needs.
• Conduct initial outreach and generate interest in opportunities.
• Screen candidates against qualifications before advancing to Recruiter.
• Maintain a consistent pipeline for high-priority roles.
• Partner with Recruiters to understand openings and priorities.
• Develop sourcing plans for niche and high-volume roles.
• Communicate sourcing activity, pipeline quality, and market conditions.
• Provide recruiters with qualified candidates and market intelligence.
• Participate in recruiting strategy meetings and contribute sourcing expertise.
• Adjust strategies based on feedback from Recruiters and Hiring Managers.
• Research target companies and markets to identify potential candidates.
• Develop and maintain talent maps for critical positions.
• Identify competitor organizations and markets for candidate pools.
• Monitor compensation trends and market factors.
• Build hot lists of prospective candidates.
