Job summary

Scanner.dev in San Francisco is seeking a Director of Talent & People Operations to own recruiting, HRIS, payroll, benefits, and employee operations as we enter our next stage of growth. You’ll take over the Talent and People foundation, build strategy and systems, and lead critical searches while coaching managers and solving People issues.

This is a hands-on builder role that balances execution with strategic design.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years across Talent, Recruiting, and People in high-growth tech companies.
• Experience building Talent and People infrastructure to support rapid growth.
• Strong hands-on recruiting ability across technical and GTM roles.
• Proven ability to build programs, systems, and operating rhythms from early stage.
• Experience partnering with founders and leaders on organizational design and compensation.

Responsibilities

• Own Talent Strategy & Recruiting across Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing.
• Lead critical senior and executive searches and build outbound sourcing capabilities.
• Own Recruiting Operations including ATS, scheduling, offers, and reporting.
• Oversee People Operations: HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance, onboarding, lifecycle.
• Shape culture and employee experience while growing the organization.
