Job summary

United Nations Office seeks an Individual Consultant to lead job analysis updates for generic profiles. You will work with HR teams and SMEs to map responsibilities, skills, and education requirements, employing AI tools to draft and quality-check outputs. Manage multiple workstreams and prepare materials for senior management.

Strong collaboration with stakeholders at various levels is essential, along with experience in Excel and producing clear, structured deliverables under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in management, HR, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years relevant experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree.
• Minimum 5 years in management consulting, HR, org development, workforce planning, or related field.
• Experience with SMEs to gather, consolidate and validate content.
• Experience organizing and analyzing information in Excel or similar tools.
• Experience using generative AI tools to draft/review content.
• Experience engaging stakeholders at different levels and building consensus.
• Experience preparing clear materials for senior audiences.
• Experience delivering multiple workstreams concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job analysis using the GJP 2.0 methodology with HR teams and SMEs.
• Define responsibilities, skills, level differentiation, work interactions, and education/experience requirements.
• Map skills to responsibilities and ensure consistency across levels.
• Use approved AI tools to draft, review, and quality-check profiles.
• Organize SME consultations and reconcile differing views.
• Prepare GJPs ready for classification review and publication.
• Support change reviews to published GJPs.
• Analyze workstream data and support decisions.
• Prepare presentations, briefing notes, and progress reports.
