Job summary

Houston Food Bank is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our recruitment strategy and full-cycle operations. This role ensures compliance with employment laws, drives process improvements, and builds a strong candidate experience across the organization.

You will coach the team, optimize sourcing, and manage ATS usage while partnering with leadership to meet hiring goals for all levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in HR management or related field with substantial recruitment experience.
• Experience recruiting for all levels, including leadership roles.
• Strong sourcing of passive candidates is expected.
• Proven people management experience in recruiting is preferred.
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Spanish/English bilingual ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic recruiting initiatives aligned with goals and workforce plans.
• Designs and optimizes sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding for compliance and efficiency.
• Monitors talent metrics to inform strategy and improve hiring outcomes.
• Manages workload distribution and requisition workload for the team.
• Drives continuous process improvements to reduce time-to-fill and enhance candidate experience.
• Coaches team members and resolves recruitment challenges proactively.
• Leads vendor relationships and optimizes systems for cost, compliance, and innovation.
• Partner with leadership to reflect role requirements in job descriptions and postings.
• Provides training on recruitment best practices and regulatory compliance.
