Job summary

Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI eligible security clearance to support our government customer in Washington, DC.

The SETA System Engineer will support acquisition transition, requirements development, and lifecycle management, collaborating with government leadership and program managers to ensure engineering efforts align with mission objectives and DoD policies.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI eligibility required for access to government systems.
• Experience supporting DoD acquisition, program management, or transition activities.
• Familiarity with prototype-to-production transition processes.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous or emerging mission environments.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and functional teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering expertise across the DoD acquisition lifecycle including requirements, design, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment.
• Support evolving engineering activities to align solutions with mission requirements and acquisition objectives.
• Develop and validate system requirements, specifications, interface requirements, and performance criteria.
• Ensure traceability and achievability of engineering requirements with operational needs.
• Evaluate architectures, risks, and implementation strategies to support informed Government decision-making.
• Coordinate with program managers, contractors, and technical teams for system interoperability.
• Prepare engineering analyses, executive briefings, and status reports for government leadership.
• Communicate complex engineering concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to improve program execution.
