Job summary

Univar Solutions in Dublin, OH, is seeking a Supply Planner to coordinate and optimize inventory planning and procurement costs across the supply chain network. This hybrid role reports to the supply chain team and requires strong Excel skills, data manipulation, and the ability to balance inventory targets with service levels while leveraging MRP tools.

Experience with SAP is preferred; you will partner with procurement, operations, and logistics to improve processes and drive cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Math, SCM, Finance or related field.
• Strong Excel skills with data manipulation (graphs, pivots, vlookups).
• Knowledge of integrated planning software desirable.
• Very strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
• Commit to process improvement and root cause analysis.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balance inventory targets with service levels and safety stock for assigned SKUs.
• Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure efficient delivery and cost objectives.
• Identify process improvements using current tools.
• Ensure accuracy of purchase order data to support Sales, Ops, and Transportation.
• Meet customer demand and regional performance objectives.
• Review inventory projections using MRPs to prevent shortages or excess.
• Monitor inventory levels and suggest parameter adjustments.
• Assess purchasing options and optimize loads to reduce costs.
• Address stockouts and mitigate supply issues with mitigations.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews.
• Track weekly/monthly metrics against targets.
