Job summary

The Wellness Pet Company in Burlington, MA, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to support the customer demand plan through strategic inventory planning. You will collaborate with demand planning and procurement to optimize inventory, reduce outs/overs, and develop the supply plan under the Supply Chain Manager.

The role requires a bachelor's in supply chain or logistics, 3–5 years of retail-facing planning experience, advanced Excel skills, and experience with planning systems (ERP, DRP/MRP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or logistics.
• Data modeling and materials planning experience.
• 3–5 years retail-facing demand management and supply chain planning experience in consumer products manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel skills and analytical tools.
• Ability to lead without direct-line authority.
• Experience with commercial planning systems (ERP, DRP/MRP).
• Based out of Burlington, MA four days a week on a synchronized hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Plan inventory purchases to meet forecasted customer demand.
• Report and track inventory levels at distribution centers and KPIs.
• Monitor inventory to prevent excess.
• Collaborate with operations on process improvements.
• Support new product introductions.
• Identify constraints due to lead times and material shortages.
• Monitor monthly and weekly production plans and prioritize work orders.
• Track inventory at retail distribution centers and allocate product.
• Monitor movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production and distribution.
• Set stock levels to prevent excess inventory.
• Support demand planning through forecast maintenance and analysis.
• Analyze historical trends to identify demand patterns and risks.
• Build analyses on inventory health and supplier performance.
