Evergy in Kansas City seeks a Planner to oversee end-to-end material supply planning for a diverse asset base. You will forecast demand, validate forecasts with business units, and coordinate with Operations and Suppliers to keep materials ready and on time.

The role emphasizes data analysis, process improvement, and effective communication across Transmission, Substation, Distribution, and Generation teams. A Bachelor’s in a related field and 3+ years of planning experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of demonstrated design, construction or project management experience required.
• 5-10 years of demonstrated design, construction or project management experience preferred.
• Completed courses in supply chain related disciplines.
• APICS CPIM Certification or certification in progress preferable.
• Previous experience in electric utilities or similar asset intensive industry would be considered an asset.

Responsabilités

• End-to-end material supply management to meet demand, including forecasting and project management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Suppliers to ensure on-time material readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, item standardization, and material availability strategies.
• Forecast validation with business unit partners to align material requirements and dates.
• Supply chain impact analysis, long lead material planning, and financial impact assessments.
• Coordinate picking, staging, and delivery of project materials to ensure on-time completion.
