Job summary

Evergy in Kansas City, Topeka or Wichita is seeking a Planner to manage end-to-end material supply planning and forecasting to support construction and maintenance projects. You will collaborate with Operations and Engineering to ensure material readiness aligns with schedules.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in a related field and 3+ years of project management or planning experience; APICS CPIM certification is preferred. Standard weekday hours and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration)
• 3+ years of design, construction or project management experience
• 5-10 years of design, construction or project management experience preferred
• Completed courses in supply chain related disciplines
• APICS CPIM Certification or certification in progress preferable
• Experience in electric utilities or asset-intensive industries is a plus

Responsibilities

• Forecast validation with business unit partners and engineering for material types, quantities, and dates
• Analyze supply chain impacts and align forecasts with planned tasks
• Coordinate material picking, staging and on-time delivery for projects
• Perform product lifecycle analysis including item consolidation, new item setup, and line elimination
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Transmission, Substation, Distribution and Generation and with Quality, Engineering Standards, Finance
