Job summary

CITY HOME, a long‑standing furniture retailer with showrooms and distribution centers across Florida, seeks a Supply Chain Planner to optimize inventory and inbound flow. You will partner with vendors and cross‑functional teams to maintain high in‑stock levels, develop weekly demand plans, and manage tools like Blue Ridge and AS400.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Merchandising, or Logistics).
• 1+ years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Demand Planning – plan weekly demand rates using 10-week plans and seasonal shifts; manage Blue Ridge and AS400.
• Supply Planning – maintain high in-stock levels, optimize orders, highlight overstocks, replenish showroom inventory.
• Monitor Shipping – verify order accuracy, confirm vendor receipt, report discrepancies.
• Discontinued Product Planning – manage sell-down of discontinued products with the Buyer.
• Vendor/Factory Performance Audits – assess lead times, shipping accuracy, and consolidate buying groups.
• Order Creation – issue PO's and approve/reject EDI exceptions.
• Logistics – coordinate with managers to ensure timely, low-cost shipments; handle backorder issues.
• Communication – raise issues cross-functionally; handle sample requests and vendor meetings.
• Spreadsheets/Reports – update inventories, projections, fabric orders, freight costs, and financial transactions.
• Database Management – add floor plan notes and set up new vendors and buying groups.
• Operating System – support continuous improvement within the department.
