Job summary

Colsafety is seeking an Inventory Planner to manage inventory levels and support supply chain efficiency at our Atlanta, GA location. You will forecast demand, create advance buys, and coordinate with vendors to optimize stock and margins.

Ideal candidates have ERP/demand planning experience, excellent communication, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive cost reductions and service level improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 3 years of work experience in a Buyer or Planning role.
• Experience using ERP systems with forecasting/demand planning capabilities.
• Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Demonstrated ability to drive improvement with an assigned set of suppliers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchasing requirements and manage inventory levels.
• Analyze inventory needs and urgency to determine the best way to fulfill requirements.
• Assist in setting replenishment parameters and influencing order levels for stockable inventory.
• Create advance buys and scheduled deliveries based on demand history and growth expectations.
• Communicate with purchasing team and leadership on any new developments in sales and vendors.
• Create and send purchase orders to vendors.
• Communicate and resolve issues in shipping, pricing or quantity.
• Compile and send POS and consignment reports.
• Liaison between internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• Evaluate, clarify, and act on customer forecast information.
