Job summary

Germantown Tool and Manufacturing is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. You will align production schedules with customer demand and sales forecasts while focusing on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

The role requires collaboration with Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure timely delivery and accurate inventory control.

Qualifications

• Experience with supply chain planning and purchasing.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
• Experience in inventory control and cycle counting.
• Strong vendor management and procurement skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Researches and gathers vendor data for analysis regarding products, quality, price and manufacturing capability.
• Monitors vendor performance and develop programs for improvement as needed.
• Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for materials to ensure sufficient inventory of products to satisfy customers' needs.
• Coordinates with customers, suppliers and manufacturing to monitor and maintain lead time and schedules.
• Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
• Maintains and ensures accuracy of the on-hand inventory system.
• Leads annual physical inventory and cycle counting program.
• Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
• Ensures timely delivery of orders to customers.
• Performs other duties and assignments.
