Job summary

The Broad Institute is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to manage inventory and lead a team within the SQM group. The role uses SAP to plan, procure, receive, and distribute consumable materials across the institute, ensuring reliable supply for research.

Strong leadership and SAP proficiency are essential. Responsibilities include optimizing stock levels, coordinating with research groups, and maintaining accurate material records while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in inventory or operations management with computerized systems.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience required.
• Proficiency with SAP or other MRP systems, and spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and collaboratively across levels.
• Experience with biological and chemical products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates personnel assignments and schedules use of Broad Institute truck for inventory movement.
• Monitors stockroom, minimart, and receiving dock operations to allocate resources.
• Oversees cycle counting and inventory maintenance across stockroom locations.
• Utilizes SAP reporting tools to determine daily material requirements and support replenishment.
• Monitors flammable and chemical supplies and manages stock levels and compliance.
• Tracks purchase orders and liaises with Procurement and end users.
