Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a Supply Chain leader to strengthen relationships with top suppliers and drive profit enhancement opportunities across the supplier network. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, develop actionable plans, and manage programs that reduce costs and improve performance for multi-million-dollar supplier relationships.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years in supply chain or healthcare, with remote US-based options available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in related field required.
• 3-5 years related experience, preferably in supply chain management or healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of the interaction between supply chain partners within the Medical Surgical industry.
• Remote US-based candidates will be considered if qualified.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Top Suppliers and Key Supply Chain partners to identify profit enhancements.
• Develop project plans and assign responsibilities among stakeholders and track to successful implementation.
• Perform analytics to ensure lowest cost to serve and negotiate profit sharing.
• Serve as point of contact for top suppliers and coordinate with field and home office teams.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Management to explain benefits of O&M programs to top suppliers.
• Develop measurements for supplier relationships and provide management reporting on margins.
• Proactively communicate supplier issues in the field and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain an operational and delivery program with minimum performance standards.
• Manage the vendor appeal process and decide on appeals.
